**IMPORTANT CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE** | Galaxy Drive-In Theatre

Advanced Ticket Sales Rules

  • Online tickets purchasing is provided as a convenience for our customers, and to speed up the transaction time at the box office.
  • Purchasing your movie tickets online does NOT reserve or guarantee a parking spot. Parking is FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED – based on the time of arrival at the theatre. Weekends are extremely busy, especially in the summer months, and it is highly advised to arrive EARLY to get into the theatre on crowded nights.
  • All sales are FINAL – There are NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES for online ticket purchases. You must redeem the ticket at the theatre on the night it was purchased.
  • Follow the online instructions, and print out your ticket (with barcode) on your printer and bring it to the theatre, or bring the credit/debit card used to purchase the tickets with you and present it at the box office for validation.

**IMPORTANT CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE**

**IMPORTANT CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE**

MARCH 20, 2020:

WE ARE OPEN OPEN THURSDAY-SUNDAY UNDER STRICT OPERATING RULES:

  1. People must stay in the car at all times except to visit restrooms
  2. One person in restrooms at a time except adult with child
  3. Concessions are closed
  4. Customers who do not follow these rules will be asked to leave.

MARCH 18, 2020 – As we all manage through these uncertain and trying times, we wanted to personally connect with you, our customers. First, on behalf of everyone at Galaxy Drive-In Theatre, thank you for being a part of our extended family – without your support we would not be able to continue to serve our community with quality family entertainment.

The health and well-being of our customers, our Galaxy employees and the communities and citizens we serve will always be our highest priority. We want to be able to continue to provide the opportunity for our employees to work in a safe and healthy environment and a place where families can still come and enjoy their movie experience.

We have been monitoring other drive in theaters across the country, and some have temporarily closed altogether, or limited the number of vehicles per screen to a lower count. Indoor theaters are being mandated to temporarily close.

This is a fluid situation that we will monitor closely.

With that being said, we will remain open but have made the difficult decision to temporarily close our snack bar and food concessions beginning this week, Thursday March 19th. The snack bar will remain closed until this health risk passes. This is a very difficult decision because, if you are not aware, the snack bar concession sales are the ONLY transactions that keep us in business to pay our employees, maintain our premises and equipment, keep the lights on and the projectors running. Almost 100% of the box office ticket sales that you purchase to watch the movies go to the film distributors, per the exhibition contracts we are required to agree to in order to show the movies to you, our customers. So essentially, the snack bar sales support your ability to watch all the movies at the Galaxy Drive In.

So in order to be able to remain in business during this unprecedented event, and to remain open after this pandemic passes, we are forced to begin temporarily adding to our ticket sales a $2.00 surcharge for adults, and $1.00 for kids to aid in supporting our overhead and operational costs, just to remain in business. Even at a now $9.00 for adult tickets for TWO movies on one screen, this is less than the cost of ONE movie at the indoor theaters. At such time that our full serve snack bar and concessions does reopen, movie ticket prices will revert back to $7.00 for adults and $4.00 for kids. Understandably, our “No outside food or drink” policy will be temporarily suspended during this time.

Absolutely no bbq grills.

We hope once this crisis passes and we are back to normal operations you will continue to support the operation of this theater by honoring our “no outside food and drink” policy by visiting our snack bar as always.

We will remain open Thursdays through Sundays showing double features on every screen, but are asking that you still follow CDC guidelines by practicing social distancing, not congregating in groups, remaining in your vehicle as much as possible, washing your hands when visiting our restrooms. If you or any family members are exhibiting any signs of illness PLEASE stay at home and get well.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time, cut parking capacity at any time, ask you to remain at your vehicle and not congregate in any crowds, and to ask anyone to leave at any time if they are not following instructions or present any danger to any guest or employee.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we continue to adapt to the changing environment. Thanks again for your years of continued support of the Galaxy Drive-In Theater, Ennis Texas.
